Curious what's in our press right now? Flowers in our press right now should start appearing in designs next month!

Milkweed:

We currently have two types of milkweed in the press -- Butterflyweed (Asclepia tuberosa) and Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata). These beautiful and vibrant flowers are the highlight of our pollinator garden this year. They are the primary food source for monarch caterpillars which were declared endangered this year. They grow native in our area but we also planted 4 different kinds of milkweed in our garden. We responsibly harvest a limited number of flowers from each plant and always make sure to leave plenty for the butterflies and other beneficial insects.
